Description
Hypericum perforatum is also known as Perforate St. John’s wort, precisely because the time of its flowering coincides with this magical night. Indeed, this was why we chose to prepare Nabila on Saint John’s Eve. Only flowers that are positively bursting with life are selected and then soaked in first cold-pressed olive oil, giving rise to this body oil with its attractive properties for skin care and wellbeing.
Among other substances, Perforate St. John’s wort contains flavonoids, hypericin and hyperforin, endowed in each case with particularly useful skin-care properties. Flavonoids act as a powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic, highly suitable for treating knocks, blows and bruises; hypericin has a capacity for treating herpes; and hyperforin is a natural antibiotic and sedative, with the ability to regenerate and renew tissue, and stimulate scar-healing. In addition, many studies have reported the benefits to be had from St. John’s wort in relief of depression.
To boost the effectiveness of the formula, we incorporated camphor-chemotype rosemary essential oil, which has outstanding circulatory and cytostimulant properties.
This blend’s innumerable applications make it an exceptional preparation, indispensable for any home medicine cabinet.
